This was the driver behind the bestLog Project which has led to the creation of the ELAbestLog Platform to champion the use of best practice in logistics to improve economic and environmental performance with social responsibility.  
 
ELAbestLog is the emerging European platform for sharing best practise in logistics to improve the supply chain performance in Europe and provides a platform for its community to engage in an active dialogue with major stakeholders around Europe.

Financed by the European Commission the bestLog Project has demonstrated the importance of improving supply chain practise in Europe. This will be done by applying best practise to improve the economic and environmental performance. The key outcome of the project is a platform to remain in place after the Project is complete to build upon what has been learnt so far and to encourage sustainable logistics as a way forward.

This Platform, ELAbestLog, will be operated as a subsidiary of the European Logistics Association [ELA is a not for profit Europe wide federation of Association for logistics professional www.elalog.org].

The services is not for free due to that the ELAbestLog Platform has to be financially self supporting however this will be kept to a minimum and aimed to make participation affordable. ELAbestLog features will include the ELAbestLog Community as a forum for sharing best practise, a range of useful products to help identify and apply best practise and core reference material.
