“If transport continues to grow at the same rate as the economy, this will become both an economic and environmental problem. Increasingly congested roads are as much a disadvantage to European business as they are to society at large...”
This was the driver behind the bestLog Project which has led to the creation of the ELAbestLog Platform to champion the use of best practice in logistics to improve economic and environmental performance with social responsibility.
ELAbestLog provides a platform for its community to engage in an active dialogue with major stakeholders around Europe.
ELAbestLog is the emerging European Platform for sharing best practice in logistics to improve supply chain performance in Europe. The bestLog Project, financed by the European commission, has demonstrated the importance of improving overall supply chain performance in Europe by applying best practice. A key outcome of the Project has been a platform to remain in place after the Project finishes to build upon all that has been learnt so far and to encourage sustainable logistics as a way forward.
This Platform, ELAbestLog, IS operated as a subsidiary of the European Logistics Association, a not for profit federation of Associations for logistics professionals. ELA has member association in almost every country in Europe and more widely too. This results in a substantial network of more than 50,000 logistic professional committed to do things better.
